Eli wasn’t judged for doing what his sons did. He was judged for knowing it was wrong and refusing to stop it. God holds us accountable for what we allow under our care.

This is a sobering reminder that silence and inaction in the face of sin carry consequences. If God has shown you something is wrong, it is your responsibility to deal with it.

Jesus said in Matthew 5:33, “You shall not make false vows, but shall fulfill your vows to the Lord.”

Say what you mean. Mean what you say. Let your yes be yes.
