▪️Yellow boxes are warnings for 60mph wind and quarter hail.
▪️khaki boxes are winds of 50mph.

Wind will hit ahead of the storms!

Wind damage with these storms will occur before any rain or lightning. Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover. Seek shelter immediately inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

This is a heads-up from the Storm Prediction Center that severe weather may develop — not a warning, so no immediate action is needed yet.

A few strong to severe wind gusts are possible, with the most probable peak gusts up to 60 mph.

The official protective action is to stay weather-aware and have a plan to take shelter if warnings are issued.
