Hey Facebook why is my entire feed suddenly random group pages and sponsored posts? I spent 15 min on my feed and I saw posts from 2 people I have a real life relationship with. I have a huge family and I have friends too. And for a while now I’ve wondered why my feed is only 3-4 acquaintances, while I don’t know anything my extended family is doing. (Oh don’t act like you don’t know who my family is. We literally have a family FB group). I don’t like this new algorithm!

In a miraculous recovery .t has returned to her 3rd floor apartment. We are profoundly grateful for all the love and support showered on us during her insane medical crisis. Thank you notes on the way! We’re so very lucky!

.t Home! This woman will Resurrect like Jesus (21 days on ventilator) pop up like Lazareth (they were sure she wouldn’t live) and Rise Up and Walk (they said it would take months, she did it in 1 week of rehab) to get home (after 36 days in hospital) to see her beloved cat Luna.

Way back, at the invention of Facebook, the FB page started as The Girl Revolution and my daughter Ainsley Thornton was the muse for my work empowering girls. If you’ve been around, you’ve seen her grow up. She’s currently very ill, having contracted a rare bacteria. She has lung and blood infections. At 5 pm Mountain tonight a hundred or more people are going to be fasting/praying/meditating/blessing/holding space/healing and sending love and light to Ainsley. You’re welcome to express and participate in whatever way feels right to you. We appreciate your good vibes and blessings. She’s still intubated and sedated, waiting on antibiotics to do their thing. A picture of her as she is right now is just too sad and scary to publish. But here are some happier moments to keep in your hearts as you pray.

Heather B. Armstrong dooce.com has passed before 50. I doubt she’d be dead, if the Internet hadn’t tortured her to death. I made a Podcast about what it was like in the beginning. She was the bravest mother, the first Mommy Blogger, the first of us to take the viscious misogyny of the Internet, a leader with a new invention, the creator of Freedom of Speech for women, the truth sayer of the hard parts of motherhood. She changed all the conversations. I hope she is at peace.
