On losing a heartbreaker, 3-2: “Everyone did their role today, we just couldn’t get enough hits to win,” Laguna Beach coach Ryan Belanto said. “That’s how baseball works sometimes.”

The Breakers, vying for their second section championship in program history, fell 3-2 in nine innings on Saturday night at Cal State Fullerton.
