There are people behind the scenes who quietly give their time, talent, and heart to make Georgetown the special place we all love. 💛
Today, we want to shine a spotlight on David Valdez — an incredibly talented photographer and an even more incredible community servant. These moments from last week’s Christmas Stroll, captured by David in front of the historic Williamson Museum, beautifully reflect just one of the many ways he uses his gifts to serve our community.
And if you’re ever lucky enough to visit the George H. W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum in College Station, you’ll see David’s work on display there as well. David served as the official White House photographer for President George H. W. Bush throughout his entire time in the White House — documenting history at the highest level, yet continuing to give back so generously right here at home.
Beyond his photography, David serves on many boards in town, including as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Williamson Museum, alongside local publisher Laura Capes Terry. Together, they share a deep passion for preserving the history of Georgetown and telling our city’s story for generations to come.
David, thank you for showing up, giving back, and capturing the heart of our community so beautifully. We are truly blessed to have you in Georgetown. 🎄✨
