🎸 1964 – Chaos in Blackpool:
The Rolling Stones sparked a full-blown riot at The Empress Ballroom when Keith Richards kicked a spitting fan in the face (yep, really). The crowd of 7,000 went wild, racking up £4,000 in damages. Blackpool banned the Stones for 44 years — the band never went back.
✌️ Moral of the story: Don’t mess with Keef.

🌈 1967 – Psychedelic Gold:
Jefferson Airplane’s “Surrealistic Pillow” goes Gold on the wings of “White Rabbit” and “Somebody to Love.” It later hit Platinum and, as of 2024, was officially inducted into the Library of Congress for being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”
