Shane van Gisbergen won the Grant Park 165 in Chicago under caution to sweep the weekend and do it from the pole position in both races. Three Toyotas finished behind SVG as Ty Gibbs finished second and Tyler Reddick third with Denny Hamlin fourth. Kyle Busch brought home his RCR Chevrolet in the fifth position.

Shane van Gisbergen started first and finished first at The Loop 110 in the streets of Chicago. SVG won a two-lap shootout over his teammate Connor Zilisch who started at the rear of the field to finish second. Sheldon Creed had a strong showing today and finished third. The 2025 Great Race started in St. Paul, Minnesota on June 21 with 124 entries and finished with 112 vehicles crossing the finish line in Irmo, South Carolina on June 29. This year the Grand Champion team was Jeff and Eric Fredette from Beecher, Illinois and they took home the $50,000 prize. https://finishlinereport.com/

Chase Elliott locked up his spot in the playoffs by picking up the win at his home track, EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta GA. Elliott made a last lap pass on Brad Keselowski who had a strong night and finished in the runner-up position. Elliott’s teammate Alex Bowman came home in third place, strengthening his playoff position.

The NASCAR Cup Series returned to the tricky triangle at Pocono Raceway for The Great American Getaway 400 and Chase Briscoe picked up his first win of the year for Joe Gibbs Racing. His teammate Denny Hamlin finished second with Ryan Blaney third. Chris Buescher finished fourth and Chase Elliott rounded out the top five in fifth.

Conner Zilisch won the Explore the Pocono Mountains 250 at Pocono Raceway with a new crew chief on the pit box. Dale Earnhardt Jr. made his crew chief debut for his number 88 team driven by rookie sensation Zilisch after his regular crew chief Mardy Lindley was serving a one race suspension. It was Zilisch's second win of the year as he has one road course victory under his belt at Circuit of the Americas earlier this season.

Layne Riggs picks up his first win of the season at Pocono Raceway in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

The first Cup Series race outside the United States since 1958 ended with an international driver winning. Shane van Gisbergen started the Viva Mexico 250 race in first and ended the same way. Christopher Bell had a strong showing all day and ended up in the runner-up position. Chase Elliott closed out the podium positions with his third-place finish. Alex Bowman and Michael McDowell rounded out the top five.

Daniel Suárez returned to his home country and won the Xfinity Series The Chilango 150 in Mexico City. Rookie Taylor Gray and Austin Hill finished on the podium in second and third respectively. Christian Eckes finished fourth and Connor Zilisch came back from a late race spin to finish fifth.
