God is focused on our character, while we are focused on our circumstances. We want to be in a different situation. He is trying to create a different version of us.

Sometimes God will ask you to take a step before He shows you the staircase.

Obedience rarely comes with all the answers. It comes with trust.

The world tells us to wait until we feel ready, have enough, or can see the whole plan. But faith says, ā€œLord, if You said go, I’ll go.ā€

Don’t let fear disguise itself as wisdom.
Don’t let comfort keep you from your calling.
Don’t let delay become disobedience.

The blessing isn’t just found at the destination… it’s found in every faithful step along the way.

✨ ā€œTrust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.ā€ — Proverbs 3:5-6

She Rises by saying yes to God, even when she doesn’t know where that yes will lead. šŸ¤

Here’s your reminder today:

You don’t have to have it all figured out to follow Jesus.

Peter didn’t.

He doubted. He failed. He made mistakes. Yet Jesus still called him, shaped him, and used him.

The same is true for you.

God isn’t asking you to be perfect—He’s asking you to trust Him in the process.

See y’all Tuesday!

Peter wasn’t chosen because he was perfect.
He was chosen because he was willing to keep following.

Good morning, beautiful friend. šŸ¤

Before you answer the emails, start the laundry, clock in, or take care of everyone else…

Sit with Jesus.

You don’t have to have all the answers today. You don’t have to carry tomorrow’s weight. You don’t have to strive for His approval—you already have His love.

Maybe today isn’t about doing more.
Maybe it’s about abiding more.

✨ ā€œDraw near to God, and He will draw near to you.ā€ — James 4:8

Our prayer for you today is that you would trade anxiety for peace, hurry for His presence, and pressure for His promises.

Take five minutes.
Open your Bible.
Whisper a prayer.
Let Him meet you right where you are.

We’re rising with Him today.

As we celebrate the freedoms we have as a nation this week, let’s not forget the greater freedom we’ve been given through Christ.

The world says freedom is doing whatever you want, following your heart, and living by your own rules.

Jesus says true freedom is found in surrender.

It sounds backwards, doesn’t it?

Yet Peter discovered this firsthand.

Before he surrendered, he was impulsive, fearful, and constantly trying to do things his own way. But when he fully surrendered to Jesus, he became bold, steadfast, and transformed.

The same is true for us.

We can be politically free and still be bound by fear.
Free to choose, yet enslaved to sin.
Free to speak, yet silent about our faith.

Real freedom isn’t found in having no one tell you what to do.
It’s found in belonging to the One who created you.

Sometimes the greatest act of freedom is laying down your own will and saying, ā€œLord, not my will, but Yours.ā€

As we watch fireworks light up the sky this week, may they remind us of a freedom worth celebrating—but may the cross remind us of a freedom worth living.

ā€œIt is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.ā€ — Galatians 5:1

šŸ¤ Question for reflection:
Is there an area of your life where you’ve been choosing independence instead of surrender?

As I planned out my day today, I couldn’t help but ask myself a question…

Have I scheduled time with God… or have I surrendered my entire day to God?

Sometimes we treat our relationship with Him like another box to check:
ā˜‘ļø Read my Bible.
ā˜‘ļø Pray.
ā˜‘ļø Devotional.

Then we close our Bible and move on with our day as if God stayed behind on that page.

But God never intended to be just another appointment on our calendar. He desires to be invited into every meeting, every conversation, every decision, every interruption, every victory, and every struggle.

Our quiet time isn’t meant to be the only time we spend with Him. It’s meant to prepare us to walk with Him through the rest of the day.

So as you look at your planner today, don’t just ask, ā€œWhere can I fit God in?ā€

Ask instead, ā€œHow can I follow Him through everything that’s already on my schedule?ā€

Because He isn’t just the first item on your agenda…
He’s meant to be at the center of it.

ā€œIn all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.ā€ — Proverbs 3:6 šŸ¤

Sometimes we spend so much time asking God to explain Himself that we miss what He’s already asked us to do.

God is less concerned with whether you agree and more concerned with whether you’ll obey. Because on the other side of obedience is always His purpose.

God isn’t asking for your opinion. He’s asking for your obedience.

Obedience often requires trusting what you don’t yet understand. Faith isn’t agreeing with God’s plan only when it makes sense—it’s following Him even when it doesn’t.

Delayed obedience is still disobedience. Surrender begins where our opinions end.

What if the thing you're trying hardest to avoid is the very thing God wants to use to set you free?

We spend so much time praying for God to remove discomfort, close doors, change circumstances, and make the hard things disappear.

But what if He's trying to use those very things to grow us, heal us, and redirect us?

Sometimes what feels like a setback is actually an invitation.

Sometimes what feels like a detour is actually part of the journey.

And sometimes what we're running from is exactly where God is waiting to meet us.
