Drawing from the hidden life of Jesus, Scripture, St. Thérèse of Lisieux, Josef Pieper, Viktor Frankl, St. Francis de Sales, Søren Kierkegaard, St. Teresa of Calcutta, and Jean-Pierre de Caussade, the episode gently challenges the modern desire for visible impact, success, and recognition. True progress in the spiritual life, Doug explains, is not usually dramatic or loud, but is formed through small acts of love, patient fidelity, unseen sacrifices, and daily “yeses” offered to God. Listeners are invited to choose one simple act of faithfulness during the week and offer it intentionally to the Lord, trusting that God sees what is hidden and is quietly, patiently making them holy.
