The Danville Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in locating Avery Paige Fernandez. The last known location was 318 W Broadway St, Danville, Indiana 46122 on 09/10/2026 at approximately 6:00 p.m.

Avery is 14 years old and listed as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing approximately 200 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. Avery was last seen wearing a gray long sleeve pullover sweat shirt and jeans. Avery left her home on a teal-colored bicycle.

7:45pm | Several Plainfield Fire Companies were dispatched to Belle Union in Putnam County to assist in an operation to free a man stuck in a corn grain bin.

The victim was successfully removed from the silo by fire crews at around 9:30pm and was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

7:41pm | Brownsburg officer reporting Taser deployment and requesting backup rush to his traffic stop near US-136 & Raceway Rd. One other suspect is running toward the Speedway. At least one suspect detained, medics requested. Several other police officers responding.

1:27am | 🚨Pursuit Started in Plainfield Ends With Suspect Shot

Plainfield Police attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Ronald Reagan Parkway and Stafford Road early this morning around 1:27 a.m. The suspect fled from the traffic stop and continued eastbound on I-70 into Marion County.

The pursuit continued to mile marker 77.4, where officers conducted a felony stop. When officers reached the vehicle, they reported finding the suspect with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

The suspect was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

No police officers discharged their fi****ms during the incident.

A former Hendricks County Work Release Center officer was arrested Monday and booked into the Hendricks County Jail on felony charges involving alleged sexual misconduct with an inmate.

Jeffery Allan Alltop, 45, is facing two counts of Sexual Misconduct by a Service Provider, both Level 5 felonies, along with Level 6 felony Official Misconduct.

The alleged offenses date back to 2023, when Alltop was working at the Work Release Center. The case was filed September 4, 2026, and an arrest warrant was issued the same day.

Alltop appeared for his initial hearing today, September 8, and was released from the Hendricks County Jail on pretrial release with a no contact order.

Kyle Braun was sentenced today to the maximum 42½ years in the Indiana DOC for the April 23, 2023 attempted murder of his mother in Brownsburg.

He was also sentenced to an additional 2½ years for battery by bodily waste.

The court considered the severity of the victim’s injuries, Braun’s criminal history, lack of remorse and his conduct while the case was pending when imposing the maximum sentence.

Braun was not present when the sentence was announced after being removed from the courtroom during the sentencing hearing following an outburst and confrontation with deputies.
