THIS WEEKEND! Drop fire beats into your crossover sets! The new Funkymix 322 is here!
1. Maui Wowie (Clean & Dirty) (123) - Kid Cudi
Brian replaced the drums and added a hyped DJ scratch intro and outro on Cudi’s latest. It references a popular Hawaiian strain of ma*****na and has sparked a viral trend on social media. Users share clips of themselves hanging from street signs set to the song’s hook, “Goin back to Honolulu just to get that/that Maui Wowie, that Maui Wowie.”
3. Out the Window (Clean & Dirty) (ULTI-reMIX) (130) - Kehlani
Beat Thrillerz nailed it on previous “Folded” (FM 320), so he brought the boomin’ bass back for Kehlani’s follow up.
5. Napoleon (Clean & Dirty) (98) - $uicideboy$
The rap duo have quietly crept into the Top 10 at rhythmic radio; this one has enjoyed a slow burn through the late summer and fall. Huda looped the main vocal and layered a new synth line into the drop to give it more tension and release. He also rearranged the intro an outro for smoother transitions in the mix.
7. Nice n’ Sweet (110) - Ciara & Oxlade f. MOLIY
On her latest, Ciara ditches her trademark R&B/bass stylings and jumps on board the Afro-Pop train. She brings Oxlade and MOLIY along for the ride. Stacy re-worked things from the instrumental and ‘pella for his arrangement. He doubled up the hooks and added percussion.
8. Cold (Clean & Dirty) (79) - BigXthaPlug & Post Malone
BigXthaPlug continues his foray into Country trap on his latest with Post Malone. Mark stayed in the original lane and beefed up the existing production.
10. have to. (Clean & Dirty) (80) - Brent Faiyaz
Doc Roc kept the original production of this R&B track intact and added some scratch samples that set it off perfectly.
12. Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 0/66 (114) - Bizarrap & Daddy Yankee
DeToto stayed true to the original and added supporting reggaeton beats and cymbals.
13. TWITCH (Clean & Dirty) (106) - Ty Dolla $ign f. 2 Chainz & Tyga
It’s twerky enough to get the girls on the dance floor or stage!
15. Friend Do (Rmx.) (Clean & Dirty) (80) - Belly Gang Kushington f. YKNIECE
This one originally was just over 2 minutes in length, so Stacy extended things out with some hype.
17. Bounce It (Clean & Dirty) (115) - Zerrydl & DJames
Here’s another fun, bouncy Afro beat track. It was also super short, so Stacy hyped it up and extended it out with additional Afro beat percussion.
