It takes a lot of heart and bravery to share an original piece of writing with the world, but our students did exactly that today! ❤️ Our 4th-8th graders who absolutely love the craft of storytelling shined bright at the regional Young Writers Workshop. They practiced reading aloud, learned advanced writing secrets from a real author, and discovered that the best writing comes from passion, not just perfection. Hearing them share ideas and support one another during feedback circles was a beautiful reminder of how powerful student expression can be. Excellent work to all of our participants! 🌟📝

They read over the school year and formed teams. They mapped plots. Finally, they battled! 🎉 Huge shoutout to our 4th and 5th-grade reading teams who competed in the MVGTN Battle of the Books in Mondovi! Watching our students instantly recall exact authors and book titles under pressure was nothing short of amazing. The practice sessions paid off in a huge way, but the best part was seeing the pure joy of reading celebrated on a competitive stage. Prairie View took home second and third place in the competition. Way to represent our school library and literacy community, teams! 📖✨

The numbers are in, and we couldn't be prouder! 🎯 Today, our elementary and middle schoolers joined tens of thousands of students nationwide for the biannual Noetic Learning Math Contest.
This challenge required students to tackle 20 complex, non-routine math problems in a fast-paced, 45-minute sprint. Rather than relying on rote memorization, the competition inspired our kids to use creative logic and abstract reasoning to find solutions. 🔢🧠
Watching our students walk away with ribbons and team medals was fantastic, but watching their confidence soar was the real prize. 🏅🏫
