My life is just a bunch of side quests. Yup, I left for 4 months and probably the happiest and most free I’ve ever felt in my entire life!! Can’t recommend it MORE especially to young women, traveling alone is the besttt. Don’t be afraid and there is something so empowering about figuring things out on your own timeline 💅🏽



My dad was a math and physics professor in the Omani AirForce 🇴🇲🛩️ He taught soldiers and I have a lot of memories on the living grounds and visiting him during classes and can’t forget the fighter planes! Lived there till I was 9!

Yea this was quite the random side quest but I guess all those games in intramurals in college helped train me for this 😂

And now I’m an agnostic atheist 💀

Another unplanned side quest and I had no idea who I was training with till I got there lmao. Also seeing him on the Netflix Physical 100 made me so happy and proud that I trained with him 🥹

Being a hyper independent daughter has its perks I guess 😂 shoutout to all my ladies who are paying rent or mortgage by themselves in this crazy economy! I see you and I’m proud of you babyyyy 💖

Can’t take away grief but I can do this to help a little (I hope) 🤍

Since a lot of you are new here, I wanted to share the story behind this tradition because so many of you have been asking and showing so much love.

After my dad passed away, I watched my mom lose more than just her husband, her best friend and partner through life.

She was just expected to carry on after a while, and especially in our South Asian community, grief and loneliness aren’t always things we openly talk about.

So every year around Valentine’s Day, I host a Galentine’s for widows, a day filled with friends, flowers, gifts, laughter, self-care, and most importantly, girlhood. At the end of the day they’re just girls too 🥹

What started as a small gathering at my mom’s house and me hand making waffles for everyone has grown into something so much bigger than I ever imagined. And honestly, seeing these women laugh, celebrate, and enjoy life is why I keep doing it (plus they ask me every year when is this happening lol) my shaylasss 🥹💖

I really can’t wait to see what next year is going to look like!!
