* Sweet and Savory: The meat features a delicate, natural sweetness complemented by a clean, light salinity. It is less overwhelmingly heavy or buttery than cold-water king crab or Dungeness crab, offering a crisp, fresh marine taste.
* Nutty undertones: Like many wild swimming crabs, the body meat yields a mild, slightly earthy, nutty undertone when steamed or boiled whole.
Texture & Appearance
* Firm & Flaky: The muscle fibers are firm, moist, and tender rather than soft or mushy.
