The announcing Gods were smiling upon me today.

In January, I started talking with USA Boxing about announcing cards for them.

One promoter, Jablab Boxing Club Nixa, Mo hired me to do their show in March.

That led to an invitation from The Way of the Warrior in Lebanon, MO.

Last month, I worked a show for Full Throttle Fighters in Kansas City.

Today, I got the call for my next assignment. Yes! I'll be announcing the 13th Annual "Always Ready To Rumble" for Smittys Mid-West Boxing Gym on October 3. This event is one of the premiere amateur events in the nation that draws fighters from 14 states and surprise guests every year. I am honored that Coach Smitty chose me to host his legendary event.

Shows are already filling up my calendar for 2027.

Man, I enjoy my life.

The Jenkins Brothers Benefit Fund
For those of you who have asked how you can help, a GoFundMe has been established for Tyson, Gage and Jake Jenkins.

100% of the net proceeds will go directly to Tyson, Gage and Jake and will be divided equally among the three brothers. These funds will help support their education, living expenses and future needs as they move forward without their parents.

My heart goes out to the Jenkins family and all of their friends and loved ones. Such a heartbreaking and tragic loss.

We are deeply saddened to learn that East Bernard Athletic Director & Head Football Coach Jeremy Jenkins and his wife, Brandy Jenkins, were tragically killed in a crash last night

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jeremy and Brandy’s children, their family and friends, and the entire East Bernard community during this incredibly difficult time

One of my goals this year was to get back into the ring / cage as an announcer. My mentor and friend, Joe Martinez, told me to start “knocking on doors” and CREATE opportunities for myself.

Taking that advice, I researched promoters, organizations, clubs, managers and pretty much anyone I could find to contact and introduce myself. I learned that very few people respond to messages these days, but there was one person, Dr. Dave Bishop, who, within minutes of receiving my email, called me and said he wanted to work together.

That conversation happened in March. Today, we release that on March 19-20, 2027, I will be the Official Ring Announcer for the Inaugural Bukom Fest https://www.bukomfest.com/ in Accra, Ghana for Bishop Boxing Promotions !

Had a BLAST ring announcing Rumble In The Dotte last night, a USA Boxing sanctioned amateur card in Kansas City.

Oooookay, someone needs a hearing exam 😁

"The way you announce, I kept waiting for Canelo to walk to the ring."
Canelo? Hell, I was happy when LAST NIGHT's fighters walked to the ring. Meant I got their names correct. 😂

"You're better than Buffer!"
I want tickets to this dude's next show. He's hilarious! 🤣

Truth be told, I don't take compliments well, I'm very self-deprecating and my own harshest critic. Extremely harsh!

BUT, last night was as close to perfection as I've ever gotten as an announcer. My voice, pacing, command and memorization were all on point.

What a night!
