🎆FIREWORKS SAFETY REMINDERS from the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office:
As Independence Day approaches, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office encourages everyone to celebrate safely and responsibly by following local fireworks laws.

Know the Local Rules:
🇺🇸Boyden: Fireworks are allowed July 1–7, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with extended hours until 11:00 p.m. on July 4.

🇺🇸Hull: Fireworks are permitted June 1–July 8, also from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with extended hours until 11:00 p.m. on July 4 and on the Saturday and Sunday before and after the holiday.

Violating these ordinances may result in fines.
Celebrate with Care!
🎇Fireworks can cause serious injuries, fires, and stress—especially for pets, children, and veterans.
🎆Keep pets indoors and be respectful of neighbors by using fireworks only during the approved times
🎇Only adults should handle and light fireworks. Always use them with caution and never under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

As always, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office will be out patrolling and ready to respond to calls. To report unsafe or illegal fireworks activity, contact the non-emergency line at 712-737-2280.
