Host Chris Aaland celebrates Pride Month during the first hour of tonight’s Tales Of The New West with music from LGBTQ+ country and Americana artists such as Orville Peck, k.d. lang, and Brandi Carlile. He starts the show by opening The KSUT Vault for a KSUT Session with Mary Gauthier and Jaimee Harris. During the second hour, he cranks the Americana Jukebox for new music by Whitney Rose and Katie Pruitt and old favorites from The Black Crowes and Dwight Yoakam. You probably won't stumble on the Iglesia de San Antonio. To find it, you have to exit the highway south of Ignacio, Colorado, onto a grid of dirt roads that crisscross through farmlands just a few miles from the state border with New Mexico.

Somewhere in there is the historic settlement of Tiffany, Colorado.

The nation's 575 federally recognized tribes can now participate in a conservation grant program through the National Park Service. And a new digital tool is designed to help them navigate the bureaucracy.

The Land and Water Conservation Fund has been around since 1964.

More than 56 million acres — nearly 3% of the U.S. landmass — belong to tribes. The Land and Water Conservation Fund has aided more than 47,000 projects, like parks and trails, in nearly every county nationwide.

Federal agencies are taking steps to protect established rock climbing routes, everywhere from the Wind River Range in Wyoming to Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, and they’re asking climbers to weigh in.

Members of the public have until Aug. 14 to submit public comments on some of the proposals. The Forest Service public comment period goes for 30 days, or until mid July.

The land agencies are taking steps to protect establishing climbing routes and their “fixed anchors,” which have been a subject for debate in recent years. Public comment is open throughout the summer.

A federal judge in Massachusetts has ordered the Trump administration to restore signs and exhibits at national park sites that were removed under an executive order to eliminate negative portrayals of American history.

District Judge Angel Kelley ordered the Interior Department to reinstall interpretive materials within three weeks, accusing the administration of attempting to “rewrite the Nation’s history with a white-out pen.”

Conservation and historical groups sued as the Trump administration targeted hundreds of exhibits on climate change, civil rights and diverse communities.

A new study out of the University of Utah and University of Colorado Boulder surveyed about 170 adults in Colorado over the age of 60 about why they wanted to purchase edible cannabis products.

They were primarily seeking to manage pain, sleep or health concerns.

Respondents to a survey in Colorado expressed interest in trying cannabis as an alternative to pharmaceutical medications and because they had exhausted other interventions.
