A moment we’ll never forget as parents 🥹

Our sweet boy was so excited the whole 9 months to meet ‘baby sister’ and we honestly thought he’d be underwhelmed by the reality 😂 but he’s been the perfect bestest big brother since this very first meeting and we couldn’t be more proud and in love with our babies 💙💗

I would do this again 1,000x!!!!! Still in disbelief that I actually got my VBAC and what an amazing experience for Josh and I 💗

We went from waters breaking to 6cm in about 3 hours and then stalled out for over 12 hours 🫠 so I’m looking back and laughing at how many times we thought we were close when we absolutely were not!! At least Josh got to watch the game 😂⚽️

Fabulous experience, fabulous nurses, beautiful healthy baby girl and so far a much smoother and happier postpartum despite Josh not being with us (he’s home at the weekend)!!! I have so much more to say about this experience but I’m too busy snuggling right now so brb!

When I tell you our quality of life has skyrocketed since moving here 😮‍💨😮‍💨 SO many free family friendly things going on, so many beautiful spots to visit and eat, such a slow pace of life and such a sense of community. We LOVE IT! I’ll have to show you more…

The list was not adhered to 🫠 we may have very different taste BUT seeing Josh pick out clothes for his little girl was still very sweet even though she might accidentally have a blow out in all of them 🙃🤷🏼‍♀️

My 4 year old decided that he was going to throw up all night for the first time IN HIS LIFE before my 3 hour glucose test 😂 so no sleep and no food made this as rough as it probably could have been honestly!! As you might tell by the state of me 🫠 Also Quest didn’t refrigerate the drinks and I didn’t get a flavour choice and it was sooo much worse!

BUT I survived! And passed all 4 draws with flying colours! So my dr thinks the 1 hour was unlucky somehow. Knowing what I know now I would fast for the 1 hour even if told I didn’t have to. All I ate was eggs but seemingly that interfered with my results 🤷🏼‍♀️ anyway…worry over and I didn’t catch the sicky bug either!

Can you believe what I found 😱 The NEXT DAY I got a Doona from a lady with one child for $100!!!! Mint condition!

I totally understand wanting to have all the gear to try and make life with a newborn as easy as humanly possible but I was a dreamer with Rory thinking he would actually USE it all and I soon learned that Rory…like all of my friends kids… did not use half of it and the bits he did like were only used for a few short weeks so believe me it’s not worth spending thousands even if you can afford it. That money would be better spent on a meal service or a postpartum doula or a night nurse even!
