โ€œFive people believed to be part of a transnational burglary crew were arrested this week following a month-long investigation into a residential break-in reported on Easter Sunday, the Irvine Police Department said.

The suspects, four men and one woman, were taken into custody in Fontana and Colton on suspicion of burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, and narcotics possession.

They were identified as Jhon Osorio Arias, 24; Jesus Hernandez Chavez, 42; John Fredy Sanabria, 42; Duber Salarte, 48; all of Fontana; and Isneidy Ortiz Valencia, 29, of Colton.

The investigation began April 20 around 1:45 p.m., when a resident on Cultivate, a residential street in Irvine, contacted police after receiving surveillance alerts showing several unknown men inside his home. The footage appeared to show the men dressed as Amazon and food delivery drivers.

Officers responded to the burglary in progress but found the suspects had already fled. The home had been ransacked, with designer purses, shoes and jewelry reported stolen.

On Thursday, with help from the Police Departmentโ€™s drone team, investigators coordinated an operation that led to the arrests.

Search warrants executed in Fontana and Colton uncovered evidence tying the group to the Irvine burglary, police said.โ€ ยท (credit: )

โ€œFAIRFAX DISTRICT, LOS ANGELES (KABC) โ€” Surveillance video shows the moment several smash-and-grab burglars crashed a car into a popular sneaker store in the Fairfax District.

It happened early Friday morning at Solestage on Fairfax and Rosewood avenues.

The footage shows at least three suspects crashing into the storeโ€™s gate and ripping items off the shelves.

They dumped the merchandise into what appears to be a large plastic bag and escaped by crawling under the crashed gate, dragging the bag with them.

The suspects left the blue Toyota Camry crashed inside the store.โ€ ยท (credit: )

๐—ก๐—ฒ๐˜„๐˜€: City officials are pressured after a constant series of gang violence, homelessness, fires, and dumping of dead bodies near Imperial/120th and Broadway near the in SCLA ๐ŸŒด๐Ÿ‘€

โ€œLOS ANGELES - Members of a South Los Angeles community say theyโ€™re fed up with the constant trash fires and crime in what they call their โ€œlawlessโ€ neighborhood. Residents say jurisdictional ambiguity has led to confusion about how to respond in the area.

By the numbers:
A recent report from the Los Angeles Fire Department says the local homeless population has been involved in at least 500 trash fires in the area since January 1, 2025. The number doubles when accounting for nearby areas serviced by the county โ€” that averages to more than seven a day.

The Watts station tells FOX 11 that โ€œeasilyโ€ 95% of the fires they respond to are homeless-related.

Underneath the interchange of the 105 and 110 freeways, there have been more than 1,000 there since January.

What we know:
The area is at the intersection of multiple jurisdictional boundaries, with property belonging to Union Pacific Railroad, Caltrans, the state of California and the city of Los Angeles all within steps of each other.

And it isnโ€™t just the fires the community is worried about. Locals say theyโ€™re constantly facing crime, with masked men flaunting AK-47s, illegal dumping and more.โ€ ยท (credit: )
