At KGTW, Gateway 106, we’ve been making significant improvements in the quality and reliability of the radio service you depend on every day. Behind the scenes, over the past year, we’ve upgraded key technology, modernized systems, and strengthened our broadcast infrastructure to ensure KGTW remains strong for years to come.

Over the past few weeks, our chief engineer, Scott Mills, has been on-site at High Mountain completing critical transmitter work. We’re pleased to report that all transmission issues have been fully resolved.

We want to sincerely thank our listeners, advertisers, and business community for your patience and continued trust as we’ve worked through these improvements. Your support allows us to continue delivering trusted local news and entertainment to Ketchikan and Southeast Alaska, just as we’ve done for generations.

A big shout out to our engineer Scott Mills. He continues his trek from Ketchikan, to Sitka and next week in Juneau to continue the constant upgrades to our radio stations! The work you have done over the last 2 years has helped modernize all of our stations. More to come as the investment in technology continues. We are so grateful to you!

North and Southbound lanes closed at Wolfe Point due to landslide. No injuries reported at this time. Road clearing has been estimated to take an undetermined amount of hours.

Allen Marine will be shuttling people from Salmon Landing to the Ketch and back. Please call the office to get on the manifest. They can have 45 max each trip.
