What started as “let’s build our own social platform” has gotten a little out of hand. 😂
Over just the last several months, we’ve been quietly building the infrastructure behind what we now call the TGPS or Two Geko Productions Studio, from the ground up.
Today that includes our own account and authentication system, multi-network management, video publishing and distribution, live streaming, linear television, OTT/FAST connected-TV delivery, analytics, creator tools, live chat, advertising infrastructure, event management, CRM, commerce, payments, and now a full ticketing architecture.
This week we finished another major piece: connecting outside ticket providers into TGPS while keeping the actual customer, ticket, transaction, accounting, admission, and check-in data under our own platform.
That means a ticket can come from an outside provider, flow into TGPS, become part of our commerce and financial records, be checked at the door through our system, and stay synchronized without an outside update wiping out the operational data we own.
And this isn't being built for one website.
The same core infrastructure is being designed to power 𝗦𝗧𝗡𝗥.𝗧𝗩, Our Franchine system - Public Access Network, including Cruces Public Access, venues like TheBank - Market, Culture, and Events Center, internal and external events, content creators, future streaming networks, and other third-party organizations from one underlying platform.
We’ve already got real television apps running on it. We’ve streamed live events from the venue through it. We’ve served advertising through it. We’ve processed real ticket data through it. And piece by piece, we're replacing things we once had to depend on other platforms to do.
There is still a lot to build, polish, and commercialize, but we're well past the point of this being an idea on a whiteboard.
We’re building the infrastructure.
One ridiculously large piece at a time. 🦎📺⚙️
