We have some amazing news - Dusty just went home with Ruth, one of our truly amazing volunteers of the past 11 years! ❤️

Dusty recently lost his home of 17 years when his mama had to go to hospice. We immediately agreed to take him and are so grateful to his initial rescuer who worked with the remaining family to ensure this boy didn’t lose his life and his home.

Dusty adjusted better than expected to cattery life, but just seemed depressed. Understandable, of course. He’s a bit stiff in his hind end and has been increasingly disinterested in food unless he’s hand-fed. This is where Ruth decided to step in and offer to take him home. We couldnt believe it - was this boy going to get this lucky so soon?

Within seconds of his arrival he was already exploring the room and even wanting to go ahead and begin his takeover of the entire house 🤣 This boy will be very spoiled and that is all we want for him. ❤️

Thank you, Ruth, for your absolute generosity of time, energy, and dedication for 11+ years to taking care of our adoptable cats, and for giving this absolute doll of a kitty all the love and peace in his final years.
