Los Pinos Pine

“Los Pinos” translates to “The Pines” and very fitting as Cumbes and Toltec 2-8-2 K-36 No.488 coasts down the winding track through the Los Pinos valley. Pines surround both ends and spill into the valley and seen here, a young pine begins its rise

Today marks the 15th "birthday" of my YouTube channel!

From humble beginnings as "BTCRAIL101FILMS," I carved myself a very niche train channel that focused on CSX and MARC trains within the state of Maryland, even more specifically, on the CSX Capital Subdivision, there wasn't a lot of travel when I was younger.

However, over the years (and also getting a drivers license) I've traveled further and further capturing different railroads and their unique operations, essentially seeing railroads that I only saw in my childhood videos growing up, railroads I thought I would never see in person.

I am extremely thankful to everyone who's subscribe to my channel, or left a comment and a like, or even just simply watched my videos. Same goes for my followers here on Facebook, I am surprised at the massive gain in followers on this page, thank you!

This YouTube channel and my various other social media platforms, I make no profit from this. It is all a labor of love poured into my videos for this hobby and I am continually thankful to those who support me by commenting, liking and sharing my content.

Burning the Midnight Coal

The Denver & Rio Grande Western sees no rest for its little 2-8-2 K-36 engines. D&RGW engines No. 484 and No. 488 sit idle next to the Chama coal tipple in Chama, New Mexico, awaiting refueling.
