*FIRST CALL*

An area of low pressure will move across the region on Saturday, bringing with it rain and snow showers. Very little precipitation is expected. As this system moves off shore, Saturday evening it will allow allow for much colder air to enter our region.

Another area of low pressure will develop along the frontal boundary very early Sunday morning.

This area of low pressure will be skirting just off the coast, allowing for it to strengthen. Snow will develop Sunday morning and will continue into Sunday evening. Much colder air will allow this system to produce higher ratio snow, meaning lighter fluffier.

Right now, I am liking a general 4-8 inches area wide. There is potential to achieve and exceed the 8 inch mark. I will continue to monitor forecast guidance as new data comes in.

The final call will come on Saturday afternoon.

SNOW LIKELY SUNDAY, with potentially plowable accumulations!

Good Friday morning!

Today's forecast is proudly sponsored by Jono Hardware . Please tell them Justin sent you at checkout!

Today will feature semi mild conditions as I do expect upper 30s to lower 40s for a daytime high under mostly sunny skies.

Saturday temperatures will top out near 40 under increasing sunshine. A weak system will traverse the region, bringing with it snow and rain showers. Honestly, I do not expect much at all.

Sunday has good potential to produce widespread snow, with several inches possible! Confidence levels are increasing with newer forecast guidance.

I will closely monitor the Sunday threat over this weekend as needed.

Regards of what falls, extremely cold conditions immediately follow early next week with possible record 🥶 cold!

With snow on the horizon, I strongly recommend you check out Jono Ace Hardware on 22 in Jonestown for heating AND snow removal equipment!

*ALERT*
1/16/25
3:20 PM

Light to moderate snow will continue to fall across the region into the mid to late evening hours before ending. This is a light fluffy snow, hence accumulations on everything but paved surfaces.

As we lose daylight hours, untreated road surfaces will also become slick. Please use caution and care as you make your commute home.

An additional inch or two is possible.

Thankfully, you can broom or blow this fluff away!

Good Friday morning! We finally get a break from the windy conditions today. Temperatures will actually rebound into the lower to mid-30s. Tonight, a weak system will move into our region with windspread snow showers developing.

Light snow showers will continue into Saturday afternoon before ending. A coating to an inch is POSSIBLE on mainly non paved surfaces.

Sunday sunny skies return with calm winds and semi mild temperatures as lower 40s look likely!

Good windy and cold Tuesday morning!

Very windy and cold conditions are going to dominate the headlines today. Temperatures will NOT get above freezing as the upper 20s will be common area wide.

Very windy conditions out of the North West 20 to 30 mph with gusts nearing 40 mph at times will make the windchill feel like it is in the TEENS! Tonight, temps tumble into the teens with windchill factors below 0 😱.

Wednesday will feature the return of mostly sunny skies with temperatures holding in the middle 20s with very breezy conditions lingering. Wind chills will again feel like the teens.

Thursday, increasing clouds take over as temperatures try to reach freezing for a daytime high. However, very windy conditions will make it feel like temperatures are in the teens!

I'm watching the weekend for a storm signal. Anything else you hear is hype and BS. Unless you read it here, it's rumors.

❄️ Need to stay ahead of winter's worst? Did yesterday’s snow remind you to stock up on ice melt?

Jono Hardware has you COVERED with rock salt and ice melt solutions for every need! Available by the bag or full skid, their rock salt keeps driveways and walkways safe all season long.

Ice melt is available in convenient shaker containers for small jobs, full bags for residential use, or money-saving skids that are PERFECT for businesses who need a lot of it.

Stop by today and stock up - because trust me, winter isn't done with us yet!!!

*FINAL CALL*

The first call will also serve as the final call for the Monday snow.

An area of low pressure will move to the south of the region late tonight. Cloudy skies will develop later this evening with snow developing after 3AM.

Light to at times moderate snow will fall across the region into the mid afternoon hours on Monday before snow starts to shut off.

2 to 4 inches is expected on ALL surfaces, so the morning commute will be slick.

Addional snow showers are possible Monday evening as this system pulls away.

Very breezy conditions will then follow with very cold air filtering in!

Winter weather advisory is in effect.

*FIRST CALL*

Good Saturday afternoon. As advertised, snow is on the way late Sunday night into Monday afternoon.

General model guidance consensus is honing in on the potential jackpot zone for heaviest snow. Unfortunately or fortunately, however, you feel about snow. The heaviest axis looks to take aim near the Mason Dixon line.

We will be watching trends over the next 24 hours and will have a final call out Sunday afternoon.

With this said, right now, I'm thinking Lebanon County is on track for 2 to 4 inches of snow. Keep in mind that temperatures will be below freezing, so snow will stick on all surfaces.

Keep in mind that this is a first call, and changes are possible. The upside potential with a slight shift North would favor more snow accumulations and a slight shift South would give much less.

Regardless of how much snow falls, Monday will be a tricky commute.

Snowstorm on the way!

Good Friday morning.
Your weekend forecast is proudly sponsored by Jono Hardware.

Today will not be as windy as it has been the past several days. Temperatures will remain cold as the lower to mid-30s are expected under mostly cloudy skies.
This evening, a weak system will move overhead that may produce snow showers. A light coating is possible.

Saturday, the breezy conditions return as very cold air filters into the region. Temperatures in the 30s in the morning will slowly drop into the 20s as we progress into the overnight.

Sunday will remain breezy, but a storm system will be entering into our region Sunday evening, and with plenty of cold air in place, a significant snow is likely Sunday into Monday morning with plowable conditions and delays possible.
Brutal cold sets in next week!

🔥 Looking to stay cozy as temperatures drop this weekend? Jono Hardware has a fantastic selection of heaters for every space and need!
