Saturday will feature party sunny skies early with increasing cloud cover by the mid afternoon hours. Temperatures will top out right around 30 degrees. A weak system may trigger a few snow showers late Saturday night.

A FAVORABLE ENVIRONMENT FOR SNOW SQUALLS WILL BE IN PLACE
TONIGHT

A strong cold front moving in will help to generate a line of
heavier snow showers and possibly embedded dangerous snow squalls
across northwest and central Pennsylvania.

We expect heavy snow showers and possible squalls to be on a line
from:
* Near Coudersport to Bradford to Warren between 10 and 11 pm.
* Near Mansfield to St. Mary's to Dubois between 11 pm and
midnight.
* Near Jersey Shore to Lock Haven to Clearfield between midnight
and 1 am.
* Near Williamsport to State College to Altoona to Somerset between
1 and 2 am.
* Near Bloomsburg to Harrisburg to Mechanicsburg between 2 and 3
am.
* Near Lancaster to York between 3 and 4 am.

If snow squalls develop, they will last for up to 10 to 15
minutes in any one location, with up to a half-inch to an inch of
snow in that timeframe, along with possible wind gusts of 30 to 40
mph.

This would result in a quick reduction in visibility and
perhaps localized icy roads, should a flash freeze develop. Low
traction and blinding visibility of a snow squall can make travel
very dangerous very quickly. If this combination of ingredients
becomes imminent, snow squall warnings would be issued, with very
specific information on timing, movement, and portions of
interstate highways to be affected.

Please monitor the latest conditions in your area overnight if you
will be out driving. Use extra caution if you must travel into a
snow squall, slow down, and consider exiting the highway. Rapid
changes in visibility and potentially slick roads may lead to
accidents. Please use extreme caution and allow plenty of stopping
distance. Avoid braking suddenly.

Happy new years eve!

Good chilly Wednesday morning!

Today will remain mostly cloudy with temperatures struggling to reach freezing. Unlike the past two days, today will not be nearly as windy. Any winds we have will relax as the sun sets. This will allow an ok night to head out.

A weak clipper system will be pushing across the region this evening that could quickly produce a slippery coating to an inch of snow right before we ring in the new year.

Overnight a powerful cold front will bring with it a squall line of wind and snow showers, but this comes well after midnight.

New years day will feature an abundance of sunshine with temperatures not getting out of the upper 20s. Overnight temperatures will crash into the teens.

🛠️ Clearance Sale Alert!

Jono Hardware has a collection of clearance items in their old store that must go!

Right now, customers can shop from BOTH stores and take advantage of incredible deals while also browsing their latest products.

Whether you're looking for bargains or checking out what's new, this is the PERFECT time to stop by! Make sure to tell them… Justin sent you!!

Good windy Monday afternoon!

The cold front has arrived and as a result temperatures will now start to rapidly tumble. Very windy conditions will become common into tonight with winds cranking some 20 to 30 mph with gusts over 55mph at times. Because of this a wind advisory is in effect.

By sunset temps will be in the 30s with overnight lows in the 20s. With the winds it will feel like temperatures are in the teens so bundle up!

Tuesday will remain very breezy and cold as our daytime high will stay below freezing.

Our slizzard is coming to an end.

We have another 1 to 2 hours of light freezing drizzle and sleet before this mess starts to exit.

Unfortunately everything is currently an ice rink and will stay this way on untreated surfaces well into Saturday morning.

Please 🙏 allow extra travel times overnight and early Saturday morning.

Saturday will remain cloudy and cold as temperatures will struggle to break 32 degrees. Ice melt is the best option as trying to shovel this mess is not recommended.

Merry Christmas!

Sorry for the late post, but I am sure you all understand, its Christmas after all!

I bring bad news, and in all the wrong ways.

This storm system is looking less snowy, and ALOT of ICE is becoming most likely. The saving grace, will be the mid levels where snow melts into tiny ice balls called sleet. This will be critical as if the mid levels warm to fast, more freezing rain becomes a concern.

Right now, im expecting nothing less then a SLEET FEST with nearly impossible travel conditions especially Friday afternoon lasting into late Friday night. In upwards of 2 inches of SLEET is looking likely with up to a tenth of an inch of freezing rain.

In other words, get any traveling done before the afternoon as I expect this to develop area wide between 1 and 3 pm.

If this is not the post Christmas blues then I don't what else is.

Be safe. Winter Weather advisory goes into effect at noon tomorrow.

What did Santa bring you all?

~Justin

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON FRIDAY TO 7 AM EST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet
accumulations up to two inches and ice accumulations up to two
tenths of an inch.

* WHERE...A portion of central Pennsylvania.

* WHEN...From noon Friday to 7 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes.

Merry Christmas Eve!

A winter storm will be pushing into our region beginning Friday afternoon continuing into Saturday morning.

FIRST CALL

An area of low pressure will traverse a frontal passage and as this system moves into our region snow will develop and eventually change to heavy sleet. As the mid levels warm a period of freezing rain is possible near the end of this storm.

Currently favoring a coating to 2 inches of snow/sleet with up to a tenth inch of ice..

Timing looks to come between 2pm Friday afternoon continuing into early Saturday morning.

I do expect a very slippery and treacherous drive for your Friday night.

Just received word from Norad that Santa 🎅 will be flying into Lebanon County later tonight!

Have a safe and blessed evening everyone.

~Justin

Minor snow late tonight and into early Tuesday morning.

A weak clipper like system will be pushing though our region late tonight lasting into early morning making for a tricky morning commute. While im not expecting more then a slippery coating to possibly an inch, it dose not take much for slick roads.

As this system starts to exit it may change to light rain.
