Meet Asher❤️ this estimated six-year-old boy has had it rough. But thanks to the caring family who started feeding him, he is healing and on his way to recovery.

This sweet boy looks rough in the pic as he had an extremely painful mouth for a long time. Due to breakage and stomatitis, Asher had all of his teeth extracted. His feeding family and Cats Limited have done all the hard work so that someone can enjoy this special boy’s companionship for life. He is a very sweet cat and deserves an awesome family who will show him the love he so deserves. Message us for an application.

June is packed with shows.

I'm beyond excited to show off my new bee designs at Buzz on the Square and meet other bee people. Mushroomsmusicmore and the Indiana Paranormal Expo will have event special jewelry. June is the start of nuptial flights in Indiana so it's all about ants at the Midwest Reptile Show with ant formicariums and starter kits. Kirks Crossing finishes the month out.

There's a bumblebee in the garden that looks like every other bumblebee. Round, fuzzy, yellow and black. Most people don't give it a second look.

It might be a rusty patched bumblebee — once one of the most common bumblebees in the eastern US, now federally endangered after disappearing from most of its former range over the past two decades.

The surprising part: recent sightings have come from suburban gardens with diverse native plantings. Not wilderness. Not preserves. Landscaped yards.

🌿 How to check:

- Workers and males have a small rusty-brown patch on the back of the abdomen, between the yellow bands — it's subtle
- Photograph from the top, side, and head
- Upload to bumbleebeewatch.org — researchers use sightings to map what remains of the population

🐾 What helps them:

- Diverse native flowers blooming April through October
- No broad-spectrum pesticides on flowering plants
- Bare soil patches for ground-nesting

The most important thing you can do on Endangered Species Day is look at the bees in the garden. Actually look at them 🌿
