EVPs are tricky to identify, and sometimes they can be divisive. Is it an anomalous sound? Or is it some kind of environmental sound?

We captured these two in the same moment during our investigation at the Garnett M. Peters theater at William Jewell College in Liberty, MO.

The first seems very clear (with headphones), but the second happens during some unfortunate floor creaking. What do you think? Let us know in the comments!

The cat balls kept going off during this session in the Garnett M. Peters Theater at William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri.

They were several feet away from both our team members and activated at least half a dozen times during this session.

New episode this Sunday! 👻👀 It’s hard to describe exactly how chaotic this dual Estes Method session became during our investigation in the Garnett M. Peters theater at William Jewell College.

In 2025, we were honored to be given permission to investigate this wonderful theater. There were many stories of uncanny experiences here, and throughout the night, our team was able to corroborate many of them.

There’s more to this investigation than just this session, too. Hit that link in the bio and discover even more unusual activity that we documented during this night.

Near the end of our investigation of the Weston Bend Candle Co. in 2024, our team empath Cait picked up on a very heavy, sorrowful energy that we addressed as we prepared to end the evening. Cait expressed the emotion as a maternal loss, though we can’t say for certain what that means in relation to the history of this place.

It’s an important reminder that sometimes maybe all we need is for someone to remember us, if not by name, then in emotional terms. Whatever memory or emotion it was that lingered for this particular spirit, we tried to assure them that we’d keep that in our hearts for them, and that we’d pass that emotion along to the owners, and anyone else who might want to carry it, as well. And that they didn’t need to keep it for themselves anymore.

We hope to someday return to this location and follow up on this particular thread to see if the energy persists, or if that particular spirit finally decided it was okay to let go.

Headphones recommended! 🎧
While exploring Brown Hall at William Jewell College, Cait and Alex heard soft talking and shuffling sounds that we can’t explain. Check out the full video at the link in the comments.
