BREAKING -- Sources tell 980 WCAP a Lowell school employee is under investigation for allegedly embezzling money from a student activities account. A police investigation is underway after missing funds were reported by the Acting Superintendent's office. Tune in at 3pm for details.

Today on Livin' for the Weekend! We'll start from 1-2 by hanging out with comedians Mike Ketroubis and Tumblin' Jack Walsh. After 2, it's Cooking on a Matchstick with Steve Brogan. Then 2:30 we get the pleasure of talking with the folks from Blue Point Brewing. It's going to be a quick two hours, make sure you tune in, we may have stuff to give away. Then it's The Big Show Unfiltered with Glenn Ordway from 3-6pm.

Emergency crews have given us the all clear to return to the studio. Gas has been shut off to the building under construction. Still plenty of traffic in the Central St/Jackson/Middlesex Street areas. Still a smell of natural gas in the air as well.

Jackson Street is closed. Traffic still flowing around emergency vehicles on Central Street, but avoid area if possible. We will return to our regular broadcasts as soon as possible.

Building has been under construction for several weeks. Construction crews have been cleared from the building. Emergency responders on scene. Area has been taped off by police. Traffic is still flowing in both directions on Central Street.

Reported gas leak on Jackson Street in downtown Lowell. Area being cleared. Smell of natural gas in the area. WCAP studios evacuated.
