Hello Hooksett Banner Readers,
As many of you know, Pinkerton Academy has canceled the Prom for this year's graduating class. Even with the newest State of NH guidelines and CDC guidelines being relaxed, the school has not budged on this decision. Enter a group of dedicated parents that have stepped up to provide this beloved High School tradition to our graduating seniors. Thanks to their hardwork a Prom will be held on June 9th at The Castleton for the Class of 2021! The ticket price will cover the minimums (food/service fee and taxes/room rental fee) but fundraising is needed to provide the extras (music, decor, police details, etc...).
If you are able, we would be so grateful for your donation! No donation is too small and would help create an unforgettable evening for these students!
Please feel free to share this information on your page - it takes a village for sure!
Kind Regards,
Jennifer

I want to submit a letter to the editor. However your preferences seem to lie in the democrat direction. My letter suggests that since the virus has surged all around the world despite masks and distancing (94 % of nation wears masks by polling data) that it might be time to stop the mass testing, treat the sick and vulnerable and stop shutting things down. Are you broad minded enough to consider this - even if it hints at being Trump-friendly? Please give me an honest reply.
President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence will keep their promises, support a job creating economy with tax cuts and deregulation, lower medicine prices, increased wages, better trade agreements and secure borders. President Trump acted quickly to stop Chinese travelers from coming to the US and to invest in ventilators, medicines and vaccines to fight COVID-19. President Trump supports peace and freedom through fair elections and a strong military. President Trump supports justice and law & order through trained police and judges who interpret laws and the US Constitution. Donald Trump and his Senate approved judicial appointments will uphold the US Constitution with its separation of powers, checks and balances, and Bill of Rights including the First Amendment Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion and the Second Amendment. Elect Corky Messner to the Senate and vote for the entire Republican ticket on or before Tuesday November 3rd!
Democrat for Axelman - Hooksett voters have a chance to stop the Leftist Lurch the legislature has taken. Elliot Axelman is a main-stream candidate who reflects New Hampshire family values of liberty, individualism, and choice. Our Democrat "leaders" of late have breathed the toxic fuel of emotional, feelings-based decision-making that leaves big business in the mix, and shuts ordinary families out. Worse, Democrat leaders have fallen in to the influence of big unions.
This is exemplified by the recent spurning by a Democrat-controlled legislative committee, of $46,000,000 in federal education funds because the protective teachers unions feel threatened by choice. Elliot is a true independent, in the New Hampshire Tradition. He will not sell out families and kids just because a powerful union is pressing on him. He's also a good GUY. I have known Elliot for many years, he's caring gentle, and soft-spoken, yet assertive, sharp, and riveted on improving the public good. He's a paramedic and fitness specialist who is a really effective teacher of self-protection, especially for women. I can't think of a better candidate in his own right. Combined with the harm that Far-Left Democrats are beginning to create in the nation and even in New Hampshire, an Axelman vote is especially wise this Tuesday.
Hooksett School Board deliberative session will be Friday, February 7th @ 7pm at Cawley Middle School.
Does anyone know what is being built in front of the Cinemagic?
