Besides playing in front of millions of people during football season, JJ McCarthy and Ivan Pace Jr. had another touchdown to score: the groom reveal. The Minnesota Vikings quarterback and linebacker traded purple and gold for custom suits from Milbern Clothing Custom . But these weren’t your average suits. Enter the “groom reveal,” the latest trend in which, much like a bride revealing her dress, the groom opens his suit coat to showcase meaningful images sewn into the lining. You can showcase anything you’d like, from engagement photos and pets to family members and meaningful memories.
“We’ve seen a major shift in how grooms approach wedding style,” owner Vivian Milbern says. “Today’s groom wants a suit that feels personal, stylish, comfortable and memorable—not just traditional.” In addition to personalized photo liners, the trend opens the door to endless customization opportunities that couples can make their own and wear again long after the wedding day. “Versatility matters,” Milbern says. “Investing in a timeless custom suit means it can be worn for future events, work and special occasions for years to come.”

Editor’s Choice for Best Event Design 2026: Collected & Co. and D’Amico Hospitality designed this intimate dining experience around the ethos of quiet luxury. A sophisticated palette of warm golden tones and blush accents establishes a cohesive thread throughout the tableau, echoed in the menu’s fresh, seasonal flavors. Every detail is intentional—from the butter yellow and blush blooms that harmonize with the linens and stemware to the culinary vision itself, with intentionally plated dishes such as a jewel-toned watermelon napoleon and a vibrant green olive salsa verde adorning the sea bass. Together, every element becomes a beautiful, cohesive celebration of seasonal elegance.

“This design was inspired by a color combination I had been wanting to bring to life for a long time: soft yellow paired with complementary tones of lavender and purple,” says Candace Holmstadt, owner of 651 Studio & Floral Design, who teamed up with My Event Buddee to create the design. “The result was a romantic scene that felt like stepping into a modern Monet painting—soft florals, layered textures, sculptural bouquets and playful details that still felt luxurious.”
Rather than opting for predictable pastels, the team took a fashion-forward approach, leaning into storytelling through design. Abundant arrangements of tulips, orchids and ranunculus in layers of yellow, lavender and soft lilac with hints of blush deliver an airy, garden-like feeling to the scene. As an ode to spring, tulips were artistically woven into every element—particularly the bouquets, which embraced the latest trends. “I experimented with bouquet trends by wiring florals to create sculptural movement and shape,” says Holmstadt. “One bouquet featured wired cascading tulips, creating dramatic movement unlike a traditional hand-tied bouquet. Another explored wired orchids, allowing the blooms to float and move in a whimsical way.”

Some wedding days feel like a love letter not only to each other, but to the people who helped you get there. Shiyeng and Kong gathered their closest friends for a celebration surrounded by wildflowers and open fields, taking time to honor the friendships woven into their story. Handwritten letters to members of the bridal party became a personal expression of love and appreciation, making those carefree moments dancing together in the wildflower fields feel that much more special.
