Had a great time at National Trail Raceway over the weekend. It was great seeing so many families come out to enjoy the fun. Unfortunately my trip was cut short Saturday due to a quick passing monsoon. Thank you to the IHRA track crew for acting fast and giving me a plastic bag for my camera gear and letting me take shelter in the garage with them. Afterwards my wet socks and I decided to call it an evening. If you ever get the chance to attend one of these events you should. I was amazed at the amount of things going on, in addition to the great racing. From free Ferris wheel rides, motorcycles doing stunts in front of the grandstands, live bands and a rodeo… the camera guy in me was overwhelmed. Everywhere I looked was a photo opportunity. It was a great event to attend and I’m looking forward to trying to make it out to a few more this season. Special thanks to Austin Kardules for helping me out this weekend!
