Savannah in mid-August… absolutely gorgeous, but whew! 🥵🌳☀️

We spent the day wandering the beautiful historic streets, soaking in the Spanish moss, stunning architecture, historic squares and all that Savannah charm. 🏛️🌿 It was HOT, but honestly, even the heat couldn’t take away from how beautiful this city is!

Savannah, you sure are pretty… but Lordy, you are HOT in August! 😂☀️ Another great stop on our RoadSMITHS adventure! 🚐❤️

We stumbled across these beautiful fairy rings today! There have been so many as we’ve traveled North Carolina and Georgia. 🌿🍄 Legend says fairies gather here to dance and celebrate… and honestly, I can see why! 🧚‍♀️✨

Nature sure does have a way of making the ordinary feel a little magical. ❤️

✨A fairy ring is a naturally occurring circle or arc of mushrooms, often with noticeably greener or darker grass around it.
✨Many fungi grow underground from a central point. As the fungus spreads outward, it can eventually produce mushrooms in a roughly circular pattern.
✨The underground fungus can change the soil and release nutrients as it grows, sometimes giving the grass around the ring a boost.
✨In European folklore, fairy rings were believed to be places where fairies, elves, or other magical beings gathered to dance. Some traditions considered them lucky, while others warned people not to step inside!

Some friendships are one of the best souvenirs of RV life! ❤️ We met Wayward Waggs while we were both traveling the country, and even though they’ve since come off the road, it was so good to catch up over dinner. The miles may change, but the friendships you make are lifelong! 🥰

Thank you, Dustin and Leslie, for carving out time for us! We loved every minute of it!!

A little family time in North Carolina ❤️

We took a little break from the road these past few days to spend some much-needed time with family in North Carolina which included celebrating my Dad’s 89th birthday 🥰

RV life takes us to some amazing places, but getting to slow down, laugh, catch up, and make memories with the people we love most is pretty hard to beat.

So grateful for these moments—and for a family that always makes coming “for a visit” feel so good. ❤️

Now…Ken, Meka and I are enjoying some time exploring Savannah…if Mother Nature would just cooperate! 🌦️It’s feeling a bit like a steam room! 🥵
