This movie is out today on iTunes and Amazon Prime for rental or purchase.
A bunch of it was filmed here at the studio, and I (Bob) was the consulting producer and scored and mixed the movie too!
It was supposed to premiere at SXSW, but VIRUS, so today is its official premiere.
I love how this movie came out and I’m excited for everyone to see it.
If you’ve recorded here at Flying Blanket, you’ll surely notice a ton of FB instruments scattered all throughout the movie too!

Do you guys remember 'The Jaws of Life' by Fine China? I produced this album way back in 2005, and it's still one of my favorite records I ever made. Well, for it's 10th anniversary (holy smokes, I'm old), Common Wall and some other labels are putting it out on vinyl, and Fine China is playing their first show in forever at The Rebel Lounge on Dec 11th. Who knows when/if the mighty Fine China will ever play again, so I highly recommend going to this show and picking this up on vinyl. Oh and they are recording a new song with me at the end of the month that'll be available for download with the record.

Hey, all! Thinning the herd a bit, gear-wise, trying to save up for some upgrades that we've been wanting to do for a while (console maintenance!).

- Fulltone Tube Tape Echo - it's awesome, I love it, but it's not getting much use since we bought a real Echoplex - $750

- Markbass Super Synth Bass Pedal - also awesome, used for great synth bass tones and octave stuff - $200

- Inovonics 201 Compressor/Limiter - called "the Distressor of the 70s" - This has the optional rare Cinemag input transformer. -$700

- Chandler LTD-2 Compressor w power supply and cable - $1000

- Drawmer DL-241 Dual Auto-Compressor - $175

Bob recorded this in 2013. If you were there, you probably saw him at the side of the stage with Gerald and Elise and a big pile of 500 series pres and 1079s.
It's exciting that it's finally coming out tomorrow!

In 2013 Flying Blanket Recording recorded Tegan and Sara live at Zia Records in Phoenix. On Record Store Day, Saturday, 4/18, you can own a special vinyl recording of their set on grimace purple vinyl available ONLY at Zia.
