Huge congratulations to our 5th-year apprentice, Austen Stensrud (Hooper Corporation), for taking FIRST PLACE in the Plumbing Division at the UA District 4 Contest in Chicago! 🥇

Austen is making history with this win! This is the first time in several decades that Plumbers Union Local 75 has had a competitor advance to the International Competition in Ann Arbor, MI!

The International Competition brings together the best of the best from Canada, Australia, and all six US Districts. The four-day contest will test contestants on their skills, knowledge, and abilities through a series of activities and assignments, including a written test, hands-on projects, and interviews. The top-scoring apprentice will be announced at the ITP graduation.

We are so proud of your hard work, talent, and dedication, Austen. Let’s bring home the international title!

Good luck to our Local 400 apprentices Matt Popieluszko, Trevor Roehrig, and Ben Vosters as they head to Chicago this week to compete in the UA District 4 Competition!

After earning first-place finishes at the 2026 Wisconsin Apprentice Contest, these three have the opportunity to represent not only Local 400, but the entire state of Wisconsin against some of the best apprentices in the Midwest.

Success at this level takes more than talent. It requires long hours, dedication to the trade, and a commitment to learning both in the classroom and on the job. Matt, Trevor, and Ben have put in the work, and we couldn't be prouder of the way they represent our union, their employers, and our apprenticeship program.

Join us in wishing them the best as they compete June 9–11 in Chicago. Bring home that trip to the International Competition!
