3 legged Polar bear. She is something most people have never seen in there life but over the course of my time in the back country living with these incredible bears she swam onto the remote island I was staying and found a peaceful place to rest for 9 days and she took every chance she could to try and chase me down and make me an easy meal but soon respected my space and would follow me everywhere and take long naps outside my shelter. I called her Tri Pod or Hercules for her incredible spirt. I have alot more clips of this amazing bear to share in the future.but she will always be near and dear to y heart.

Some moments you just don't plan for.

I was out on the water when I spotted her — a polar bear mom curled up on a rock with her cub tucked in close, the tide slowly rising around them. Neither one moved. Neither one needed to.

Just a mother and her baby, completely at peace in one of the wildest places on earth.

I've stood in some of the most remote corners of this planet. I've seen things that humbled me and things that scared me. But this — this stopped me cold.

There's something about a mother's love that needs no translation. No language. No explanation. It just is. And watching that cub nestle into her like the whole Arctic was safe because she was there… I'll carry that image in my chest long after it fades from any screen.
