Have you made any creative New Year’s resolutions? I’ve been dabbling in watercolors since sometime last year and I use the tutorials I find online to teach what I learn to my grandkids. Five of the six live here in town and four are old enough to have paint time with me three nights a week while their dance schedule is in session. Anyway, it’s fun having time with them and learning something new together. Currently, we love lessons on YouTube. If there’s something you’re wanting to try, do it and don’t put it off. Yes, it’s not perfect (I forgot to leave my Fox’s belly white, but you get better the more you do it. 😌 Bonus points if you have a child or grandchild to do it with. It’s a win-win!

Currently snuggled up in a blanket with my Doxie watching a little television with the tv currently on pause, letting the pups take a potty break. It’s been nice just to try and recoup from the busyness of the last few days/weeks. I hope you all have had a wonderful New Year’s Day and that you will have a fantastic new year filled with joy and peace and the ability to handle whatever life throws your way.

Throwback to a porcelain Santa ornament I sculpted many years ago. I started painting in the mid 90s and did that for quite a while. Life took a turn and I didn’t get back to it until about four or five years ago, but along the way I got into salt dough and clay ornament making. It’s really one of my true loves and I really need to get back to it. Here is a porcelain clay Santa I sculpted some years ago. I need to get back to doing this again.😍🎅🏻
