The Muskogee Phoenix is preparing a supplement for retired and active-duty members of the U.S. armed services who currently
live in Muskogee County; are from here originally; or have family living here, so we can detail how they’ve served our country, and
thank them for their commitment. If you fit the bill, or have a family member who does, fill out this questionnaire and email it or
drop it by our office, with a photo (include both a service photo and current one, if possible).
Email either a scan or retyped copy with photos to [email protected] or drop it by our office 530 Court St.,
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
weekdays. Include extra sheets, if necessary.
Deadline for submissions is 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, for inclusion in our special
supplement, which will appear in our weekend edition Nov. 8-9.

McIntosh County Sheriff's Department reports finding a dead female while making a welfare check on a car parked on the shoulder near Oklahoma 72 in Council Hill. According to a media release, multiple agencies responded. A male subject was found hiding in a nearby barn and taken into custody.

UPDATE: Road Is Now Open.

🚧 Traffic Alert – Country Club Area 🚧

Traffic is currently shut down on Country Club Road north of Country Club Drive due to a gas line cut.

Please avoid the area and use alternate routes until further notice.

Williams plans to keep the chair in his garage to use with his other office furniture.
The Phoenix is giving filing cabinets and furniture until 1 p.m. today. However, you must come prepared to move and load your own choices. All furniture is as is.
After 1 p.m., everything in the building becomes property of the new owners of the building.

Carlee Foster looks over some filing cabinets at the former Muskogee Phoenix office building, 214 Wall St. Foster is opening a craft business in January and needs office equipment to store her patterns and files.
The Phoenix is giving filing cabinets and furniture until 1 p.m. today. However, you must come prepared to move and load your own choices. All furniture is as is.
After 1 p.m., everything in the building becomes property of the new owners of the building.

The Muskogee Phoenix will be hosting a Community Day October 7th from 9am-1pm. We have some office furniture (mostly filing cabinets) we will be giving away!
MUST COME PREPARED TO MOVE AND LOAD ON YOUR OWN. ALL FURNITURE IS AS IS!
