We all know that August has been weird with temperatures off the coolest start on record and extreme rainfall, especially at the coast.

On Sunday, N. Myrtle Beach reported more than 2" of rain bringing August rainfall up to more than 7.5". With heavy rain around again today, a flood watch has been issued in Horry and Georgetown counties.

Is the cooler weather okay with the clouds or would we rather it be hotter and sunny?

WOAH. Check this out! We are almost through the first week of August and it has been abnormally cool, especially inland.

Typically, early August is still in the low 90s, but Florence has seen an average high temperature of 82.8 degrees from Aug 1 - Aug 6, and Lumberton is at 83.7 degrees. With temperatures in the mid-80s again today this will likely be the coolest first week of August on record!
