The Life of a Talent Buyer

Being a talent buyer is a lot like being a human piñata.

Everyone takes a swing.

If tickets are slow, it's your fault. If the weather doesn't cooperate, somehow that's your fault too. If an artist is late, a contract is delayed, a hotel loses a reservation, or the sound system has a hiccup, people start looking your direction.

Meanwhile, you're juggling budgets, contracts, routing, marketing, sponsors, production, hospitality, and a hundred emails before your first cup of coffee is finished.

The funny part? When everything goes perfectly, nobody notices all the work that went into it. But when one thing goes wrong, everyone suddenly remembers your phone number.

Yet somehow, despite the bruises, long hours, and occasional headaches, there's nothing quite like standing in the crowd, watching an artist take the stage, and knowing you helped create that moment.

So here's to the talent buyers—the professional problem-solvers, relationship-builders, and occasional human piñatas of the entertainment industry.

I do it for the artists. I DO this for the venues. My mission, to bring amazing acts to communities at affordable rates, while being a trusted buyer. I appreciate all the venues that have trusted me with handling their show. I appreciate the artists trusting me with booking them.

The music business can be a tough road — and at times, a pretty noisy one. When I launched Reed ProMotion, my vision was to build something different; a company rooted in community, where artists support one another, grow together, and navigate this industry with integrity, strong ethics and mutual respect.

I’ve always believed that the longer road — the one that requires patience, hard work, and staying true to your values is often the right one.

In an industry where many choose to keep their rosters in the dark, I’ve found that real momentum comes from collaboration and transparency. I’m incredibly proud to work alongside such talented, hardworking, and genuinely good people. Some are pictured here, some weren't able to be at CRS, but every one of them matters to what we’re building.

Here’s to 2026, a year of partnership, shared wins and moving the industry forward by working together, not against each other.
