We checked the temperature, cast our net, and pulled in a fantastic haul of small fish. It doesn't get much better than this!

The thrill of the catch! I reeled in a snook today. We admired its size and then gave it a healthy release back into the water. Moments like these are why we fish.

We were out on the boat, and I felt that tug. Reeling it in was intense, but we got this nice redfish. That moment when you finally see it in the net? Priceless.

Y’all have questions about the boats… so here’s the update πŸŽ₯🎣

We’re breaking down a few of the questions we keep getting πŸ‘‡

➑️ What happened with the Polar build?
➑️ Is the Polar for sale?
➑️ What’s the new boat?
➑️ What are we running now?

Yep β€” the Polar is FOR SALE πŸ‘€

And we’ve officially moved over to the Florida Fisher πŸ€™πŸ”₯

A federal appeals court just handed down a major ruling involving the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council β€” the group that plays a huge role in shaping federal fishing regulations in the Gulf. 🌊🎣

The court ruled that certain π—©π—˜π—§π—’ 𝗣𝗒π—ͺπ—˜π—₯𝗦 given to the Council are π—¨π—‘π—–π—’π—‘π—¦π—§π—œπ—§π—¨π—§π—œπ—’π—‘π—”π—Ÿ. βš–οΈ

But here's the important part πŸ‘‡

The court π——π—œπ—— 𝗑𝗒𝗧 throw out the fishing regulation being challenged in the case, which involved limits on Gulf gag grouper.

So no β€” this doesn't mean Gulf fishing regulations suddenly disappeared.

The ruling raises important questions about how federal fishing regulations are created and how much authority the Gulf Council can exercise.

For recreational anglers, charter captains and everyone whose livelihood or lifestyle revolves around the Gulf, this is definitely something worth watching. 🌊

The Dunedin City Commission has officially voted 5–0 to ban the launching and retrieving of motorized watercraft from the south side of the Dunedin Causeway.

This follows months of debate over the popular shoreline launch area.

City officials cited several reasons for the change, including concerns over seagrass damage, shoreline impacts and public safety. Officials reported 80 Jet Ski-related incidents between January 2022 and April 2026, along with two Jet Ski fatalities since 2020.

⚠️ π—œπ— π—£π—’π—₯𝗧𝗔𝗑𝗧: This does NOT ban motorized boats or PWCs from operating in the Intracoastal Waterway or St. Joseph Sound. It specifically prohibits launching and retrieving them from the Causeway shoreline.

The north side west of the drawbridge was already closed to vessel launching, meaning this effectively eliminates the Causeway as a motorized watercraft launch location.

For a lot of local boaters and Jet Ski riders, this is a pretty significant change.

πŸ‘‡ π—ͺ𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗗𝗒 𝗬𝗒𝗨 π—§π—›π—œπ—‘π—ž?

Was this the right move to protect the shoreline and improve safety β€” or should the city have found a way to keep the area open to motorized watercraft with additional rules and enforcement?

Keep it respectful in the comments. πŸ€™
