I’ve been getting into recording my cabinets with mics since I’ve got my cab replaced and I wanted to see where I can get with it. I actually did this cover 3 years ago, but wanted to show how I’ve improved with recording and mixing. Better tones, actually mixing up my acoustic instead of recording the electric part, bass and gain staging, the works. Not a bad come up since 2023

In between covers my cabinet broke down and I couldn’t play for almost 2 weeks. When I finally got that problem sorted out, I decided to have some fun. I’ve been loving the new album “Decades”, even if it’s a Motionless album that’s guitar heavy. I’ve been digging the EDM they went with.

I’ve been working in the background trying to figure out an approach to record my own speakers and tones. While I have digital gear like a Quad Cortex and an Axe Fx 2, I still have a general love for real amps. Brandon Gaeta has been really helping me learn and understand the recording process for gear and I did a test. I was a little shocked that all 4 speakers sounded vastly from each other, with only one generating the sort of Nu Metal I was looking for out of the box. I may or may not start replacing some of the speakers but maybe I’m being too much. Let me know

Here we go, the first Three Days Grace song I ever heard from 20 years ago. SmackDown vs Raw 2007 on PS2 with a banger soundtrack, on top of its iconic music video. Those games start my music journey that leads to this day
