Norfolk is among four Nebraska communities being considered for a future nuclear power plant as state officials explore a new generation of nuclear technology that remains largely untested.

Nebraska Public Power District identified four locations for a potential nuclear plant. So far, plans haven’t sparked the backlash generated by previous wind and solar projects.
