This is my only time addressing this.

YES, I play R. Kelly at my R&B events.

I play his songs STRICTLY for the music. As an artist & as an artist only he was a prominent part of R&B. He made multiple grammy winning songs in the genre of R&B & was very successful / talented artist in the music industry.

No, I do not condone anything he did in his personal life, including the abuse, violence, racketeering, etc & simply playing his music is not a reflection of who I am or what I stand for.

At my events my goal is for people to enjoy R&B music as it is, have a great time, & feel safe.

That means if…I drop “Step In The Name of Love” I expect you to think about your significant other, grab significant other’s hand & dance to celebrate your love for one another.

That’s all to it. Aint nothing extra.
