- Holly Days Sale at Paradise Center for the Arts 12-5pm. Paradise Center's Lois Vranesh Boardroom Gallery and the Carlander Gallery will be decked out in boutique style and filled with the artistic wares of 20-plus regional artists.

- The Live "Trek Through Time" Christmas Special with Kosmo Esplan at KYMN Radio 12:30pm. For the last podcast installment of 2025, host Kosmo Esplan (Yuletide alias Kosmo Kringle) is capping the year off with a bang and highlighting Christmas traditions in Northfield on the afternoon of Winter Walk. Featuring a handful of merry guests, an hour-long live slot and a slightly unhinged enthusiasm for the holidays, the TTT time machine sleigh is taking listeners on a festive ride through local Christmases past and present. Light up the tree and tune into 95.1 FM, 1080 AM and www.kymnradio.net for a jolly good time.

- Holiday Party at FiftyNorth Senior Center 4-5:30pm. Enjoy an afternoon of Christmas cheer, filled with music by St. Olaf College students. Brass quintet, barbershop quartet and more will ring the bells of Christmas to prepare for this festive season. Treats will follow the performance. Free concert. Pre-registration is requested to assist with preparation of seating and refreshments.

- Winter Market at Water Street Studios 4-8pm. The market features handmade works from local artists - the perfect way to shop small for your holiday gifting needs.

- George Morris, WWI Veteran & My Grandfather with Todd Rost at the Rice County Historical Society 6-6:30pm. Todd Rost will present on his grandfather, George Morris, who fought in World War I and was a member of the Minnesota Guard until 1947. Free for members, $5 for nonmembers. - Shorter Nonfiction for Shorter Memories: Extending the Reading Life of Loved Ones with Memory Loss at Northfield Public Library Minnesota 6-7pm. How can a voracious reader with dementia continue to read? Catherine Friend faced this problem as her father's Alzheimer's interfered with his ability to read entire books. She solved this problem by writing nonfiction pieces short enough for him to handle. Come hear Friend's story and receive a free copy of her new book, "Brief Encounters: Shorter Nonfiction for Shorter Memories", to share with a loved one struggling with memory loss.

- FiftyNorth Senior Center Band & Chimes Concert at FiftyNorth Senior Center 4-5pm. The FiftyNorth Band and the FiftyNorth Chimers are teaming up for a yule-inspired program. Watch and listen for secret agents, Dixieland, drummers, bells and maybe a white Christmas. Festive attire encouraged. Cider, coffee and cookies will follow. Free concert. - History Book Club at Northfield Historical Society 6-7pm. This month's book is "Lord Grizzly" by Frederick Manfred.

- Trent Shaw & Trainwreck Duet at Brianno's Chart House 6-9pm. An acoustic duo that can wreck any song you throw at them. They entertain the audience with crazy banter and great music. Acoustic with a kick.

- Mystery Book Group at Northfield Public Library Minnesota 6:30-7:30pm. The Mystery Book Group likes to read popular mystery fiction (often the first of a series), true crime nonfiction or popular thrillers. Discussions are led by group members or library staff. - Carleton College Craft Fair & Custodial Bake Sale at the Weitz Center for Creativity 8am-2pm. Carleton College's annual Craft Fair and Custodial Scholarship Bake Sale. is back. This long-standing event welcomes the entire Northfield community and beyond to shop the wares of Carleton staff and community members. The event typically hosts approximately 50 vendors. A wide variety of handcrafted items and baked goods will be available for purchase. All proceeds support the Carleton Custodial Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is awarded each year to a qualified student to help pay for books, music lessons, health insurance premiums or other extra costs. Free and open to the public.

- First Friday Coffee at Northfield Public Library Minnesota 9-10:30am. Sip coffee and chat in the library while enjoying the morning light through the atrium windows the first Friday of every month.

- Eclectic Strummers & Singers Christmas Sing-Along at FiftyNorth Senior Center 1-2pm. Join the FiftyNorth Eclectic Strummers and Singers for a fun-filled program of holiday songs. Some are traditional, some are funny, some will be new to you and many will be sing-alongs. The Eclectic Strummers and Singers are a small group of seniors that get together at FiftyNorth on the first, third and fifth Wednesdays. They enjoy playing their instruments, singing, laughing and being together. They have guitars, ukuleles, a mandolin and a banjolele. They normally play for their own enjoyment and seldom play for the public. Today, they will be playing a few of the hundreds of songs that they play during their Wednesday jam sessions. - Pub Night: Erin McCawley's Harrison Street Band at Lakeville Area Arts Center 6-9pm. Prepare for a night of sassy blues, rockin' roots and some funky fun. McCawley will engage and entertain you, but she might be the one having the most fun. Her voice and energy fill the room backed by the impressive talents of Tony Houle, Bill Whelan and John Tubbs. - Teen Tuesday: Book Club & TAB Meeting at Northfield Public Library Minnesota 4-5:30pm. Drop in any Tuesday for a casual afternoon of teen activities. This week, chat about the book of the month, "Divergent" by Veronica Roth (copies available on the library holds shelf) and choose books to read for the upcoming year. After book club will be the monthly Teen Advisory Board (TAB) meeting. - History Happy Hour Featuring Andy Flory at Northfield Historical Society 6-7pm. Carleton College Professor of Music and Director of American Studies and author of the book "I Hear a Symphony: Motown and Crossover R&B." Doors open 5:30pm. Free admission, free will donations are appreciated.
