- Journey, Foreigner, Kansas, Styx & Bon Jovi Tribute by Xpedition Band at Brianno's Chart House 7pm. Xpedition's band members have earned the reputation of being one of the top tribute acts touring the United States. Xpedition by definition: A journey or voyage undertaken by a group of people with a particular purpose, especially that of exploration. This voyage began as a cohesive Journey Tribute, (formerly known as SFO-A Tribute To Journey) with top notch musicians hailing from Nashville, Florida, and Minnesota, with years of touring experience. Tickets: $34.14-$39.32, available at www.briannoscharthouse.com.
- Northern Roots Session at The Contented Cow 7-9pm. Jam session open to all who love Scandinavian music.
- Phoenix Theatre Presents: Red Herring at Sheldon Theatre of Performing Arts 7:30pm. Three love stories, a murder mystery and a nuclear espionage plot converge in this noir comedy about marriage and other explosive devices. It's 1952: America's on the verge of the H-bomb, Dwight Eisenhower's on the campaign trail, and "I Love Lucy" is on Monday nights. Meanwhile, Senator Joe McCarthy's daughter just got engaged to a Soviet spy, and Boston detective Maggie Pelletier has to find out who dumped the dead guy in the Harbor - or else lose out on a honeymoon in Havana. A blunt-nosed, sharp-eyed look at love and tying (and untying, and retying) the knot. Tickets: $12-$18, available at www.sheldontheatre.org or by calling 651-388-8700.
