“Ten years of missing faces at birthday parties, empty seats at dinner tables, and voicemails never returned.”

Those were the words Brandon Wolf used to open a discussion marking the 10th anniversary of the Pulse nightclub shooting.

Held at Orlando’s Renaissance Theatre, the panel brought together leaders from Equality Florida, the Human Rights Campaign, GIFFORDS, and the Florida Senate to reflect on a decade of advocacy, discuss ongoing challenges surrounding gun violence and LGBTQ+ rights, and share what gives them hope for the future.

Ten years later, Pulse is still a part of the soul of Orlando. It is a wound, a memory, and now, a memorial moving closer to reality.

Pulp City’s Mike Synan visited the city-held warehouse where pieces of Pulse have been preserved, including the sign, parts of the bar, the chandelier, the dance floor, and thousands of letters, cards, and pieces of artwork sent to Orlando from around the world in the aftermath of the tragedy.

The City of Orlando says construction on the permanent memorial is expected to begin later this year, with completion planned for 2027.

For nearly a decade, Bad Santa & The Angry Elves have become a holiday tradition for Orlando music fans.

What began as a local production has grown into a beloved annual event known for its live music, theatrical energy, and devoted following.

Now, that tradition is heading overseas.

The Orlando-based group has been invited to perform a 25-night run at the 2026 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, one of the largest arts festivals in the world, bringing a piece of Orlando’s creative spirit to Scotland.

As frontman Christian Kelty puts it:

“This town is a main character in the tale.”

Orlando’s Bad Santa & The Angry Elves have been accepted to the 2026 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, bringing their theatrical Christmas rock show to one of the world’s largest arts festivals.
