Today we honor Eric Carr—KISS’ powerhouse drummer, and one of rock’s most beloved musicians.

Eric joined KISS in 1980 and instantly transformed their sound.
His thunderous double-bass, his energy, and that Fox persona brought the band back to life.

From ‘Creatures of the Night’ to ‘I Love It Loud,’ Eric’s drumming didn’t just support the music—
it redefined the band.

But what fans remember most is his heart.
Humble, kind, always giving time to the people who loved the band.

Even during his battle with cancer, he showed up—still smiling, still giving everything.
Eric Carr passed away on November 24, 1991… but his spirit never left.

Here’s to Eric Carr.
The Fox.
The heartbeat of KISS.
Never forgotten.

As first reported by The New York Times Japan has officially sworn in its first female Prime Minister, Sanae Takaichi; and she’s a lifelong metal fan.

Before her election, Takaichi appeared on Babymetal’s Metal Radio podcast, where she discussed her early love for heavy music, starting with Black Sabbath’s Paranoid and Deep Purple’s Burn.

She shared that she played bass, keyboards, and drums in school bands, covering artists like Rainbow, UFO, and the Rolling Stones. Takaichi also mentioned using electronic drums to unwind after stressful moments, and named Iron Maiden and X Japan’s Yoshiki among her favorite musicians.

The podcast, hosted by Babymetal members Su-metal, Moametal, and Momometal, features interviews with “secret metal fans” and aims to unite listeners through metal culture.
