It was recently announced that the late David Williams II, the former athletic director at Vanderbilt Universitywho is featured in our film Alone In The Game, is the 2020 winner of the NCAA President’s Pat Summitt Award. We were fortunate to have cultivated a friendship with David, who proudly coveted equality and inclusion of athletes and am incredibly grateful that David agreed to be an important voice in our film to help create change in collegiate sports. One of my favorite quotes in the film from David was, "My integrity is not for sale." "David has been a champion of equity, equality and always has had the courage to speak about, advocate for and beat the drums of fairness, so to have him recognized for his tireless, trailblazing work means a great deal to us, Vanderbilt University, collegiate sports and his family.” Rest in Power my friend.

To assist the industry in crafting authentic and balanced stories and advancing a key priority of the National Strategy for Su***de Prevention, the National Action Alliance for Su***de Prevention (Action Alliance), in collaboration with its partners have developed and released the new National Recommendations for Depicting Su***de. The Recommendations are the first-ever collective national recommendations aimed at strengthening the way content creators, showrunners, writers, producers, directors and other in the entertainment industry depict su***de and su***de prevention – and ultimately educate audiences nationwide about help and hope.
