Stay warm, Town of Pelham Public Library!

The library will reopen at noon on Tuesday, but we will be operating on a limited schedule this week due to lack of heat in the building. We apologize for the inconvenience. The Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum invites you to join them for a special Valentine’s Day Crafting and Card Making Workshop!
Show your sweetheart that you care with a charming, unique, and handmade Victorian-style Valentine’s Day card! Learn about the history of valentines and the printed “scraps” used to make them in the 19th century while you craft your own original card.
This workshop will be held tomorrow, February 10th from 10:00am to 11:30am and costs $15 per person. The Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum is located at 895 Shore Rd, Pelham Bay Park.

The Manor Club is currently seeking one more actor for their upcoming production of “The Heiress”. The play is an adaptation of the Henry James novel “Washington Square”, and tells the story of a father’s attempts to thwart the marriage of his daughter and a young gentleman who he believes is only interested in her for her money.
The Manor Club is looking for a male actor aged 28-40 to play Arthur Townsend. This is a minor role with a few lines in Act 1, Scene 1. The production will be performing on April 11th, 12th, and 13th at 7:30pm, and April 14th at 2:00pm. Rehearsals will begin in February. If you are interested, please contact [email protected].

Residents of Pelham Manor must be aware that the last day for curbside leaf collection is Friday, December 15th! Starting Saturday, December 16th garden refuse collection will resume on the regularly scheduled days. Garden refuse should be placed in containers, paper bags, or bundled and placed beside the road on the first day of your sanitation collection schedule. Furthermore, the street sweeper is scheduled to be in the Village on Thursday, December 21st to provide a thorough cleanup after curbside leaf collection, and to stay within the best practices for maintenance of our stormwater collection system. Please mark your calendars to make an effort to avoid parking on the street to allow for optimal street sweeping operations!

The Westchester County Youth Bureau and Youth Board and are pleased to announce the release of the 2023 Youth Service Awards application. This year, the Westchester County Youth Board will select and honor youth who have demonstrated leadership and/or service with a social justice lens in their community.
Nominees must be a current high school junior or senior that is a resident of Westchester County. These students should exhibit a commitment to improving society through leadership and volunteerism.
