🇮🇹 ITALY: 1. CHRIS & JULIE: 0. 😂

We arrived in Sicily in July with a plan.

Then August happened. 🤣

We had lists.
We had schedules.
We had people to call.
We had things to accomplish.

Italy had Ferragosto. ☀️🍹

And Italy looked at our carefully organized little American plans and basically said:

“That’s adorable. See you in September.” 😂🇮🇹

Tomorrow we’re talking about what happens when you try to get things done in Sicily during the month when seemingly EVERYONE has a sign on the door that says…

CHIUSO PER FERIE! 🔐🏖️

But somewhere between the unanswered calls, closed doors and our slowly disappearing sense of urgency… something funny happened.

We started to wonder:

Maybe Italy wasn’t the problem. Maybe our list was. ❤️

Come laugh with us tomorrow — because this one was definitely a lesson in learning how to live the life we keep saying we want.

When viewers become friends… and then your friends become friends. 🥹🇮🇹

Tonight we got to have dinner with two wonderful people we originally met separately through this crazy little Shifting 2 Sicily journey — Joe and Enrico!

We introduced them to each other tonight, shared a great meal, lots of laughs, plenty of stories…and one of those evenings that reminds us that this channel has given us so much more than we ever expected. ❤️

We were definitely missing Marie, Joe’s better half (don’t tell Joe we said that 🤐), tonight! You were absolutely there in spirit, Marie — but next time, we need the whole crew together! 🥰

We started this channel to document what happens when you ask, “What if we just… moved to Sicily?” We never imagined that somewhere along the way, complete strangers would become part of our real lives.

This community may just be our favorite part of the whole journey. 🇮🇹❤️

How hard could it possibly be? 😳😂

Turns out… VERY.

We’ve spent months figuring out how to safely get these two pups to Sicily — and some of what we learned genuinely surprised us.

Tomorrow we’re sharing the options, the obstacles, the rules we didn’t know existed… and the solution we finally landed on. ❤️
