Recorded with alto flute and Chinese gongs, this piece traces two ascents of Colorado's Manitou Incline — nearly 2,800 steps and 2,000 feet of elevation gain. Deep, earthy flute tones rise with the rhythm of effort while shimmering metallic overtones echo like breath against stone. The music gradually opens into a wide, elevated stillness at the summit, holding both the physical intensity of the climb and the quiet triumph of reaching the top.

Recorded on solo concert C flute at the legendary Tank Center for Sonic Arts in Rangely, Colorado, this piece moves through the space's natural reverb with warmth and openness. It was inspired by 12,000 miles of travel across the country in a Class A motorhome, A journey shaped by freedom, reflection, and wide horizon views.

This is music for quiet mornings, long drives, or any moment that calls for a little more spaciousness.
