What happens when you place today’s kids in yesterday’s world?

They explore!

One of my favorite moments of creating this series was watching the kids interact with a world they had never known.

The record player.
The TV box.
The corded phone.
The books and toys.

Things that may feel nostalgic to one generation were completely new discoveries to another.

They wanted to touch everything, ask questions, and figure out how it worked. And it reminded me that while technology continues to change, curiosity never does.

The 70s was a period of increased Black cultural visibility, self-expression, and representation that grew out of the Civil Rights and Black Power movements.

This Juneteenth, I’m celebrating Black family, Black joy, and the traditions that connect generations.

Last year, I had the honor of serving as the Lead Cinematographer for the halftime performance at the Arizona Rattlers game with At The Outlet Inc. 🎥🔌

And now… it’s that time of year again. Game day is THIS SATURDAY, and I can’t wait to capture another incredible performance by these talented youth! If you have tickets, trust me... you are in for a treat.

At The Outlet, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity and community outreach organization based right here in Phoenix, Arizona, dedicated to empowering K–12 youth through academic support, mentorship, creative expression, and performing arts.

They continuously create amazing opportunities for our youth year-round, helping them build confidence, discipline, creativity, and unforgettable experiences.
